In 2013 I was working for the Navajo Nation's Hospital Board. I was assigned to be the first family physician for a clinic just south of the Navajo Nation in Sanders, AZ. Within my first few weeks I could tell that something terrible had happened to the patients attending the Nahata Dziil Health Center. I am still working on this project which focuses on the devastating effects of forced exile on a population of patients. Gaza is the world's largest and most prominent forced exile community. This was my first paper on the Navajo Forced Exile 1960 to the present.
